Our plastering and skimming Process.

Our skimming process is simple, yet effective.

  1. Wallpaper Removal:
    We start by removing any unwanted wallpaper, ensuring the wall is clean and ready for the next steps.

2. Filling Holes and Plaster Boards:
We then fill in any holes or imperfections to create a smooth base for plastering. For areas with significant damage, we apply plaster boards to provide a solid foundation for the plaster.

4. PVA Application

We apply PVA (Polyvinyl Acetate) as a liquid layer to act as a glue for the plaster. This ensures the plaster sticks well, maintaining the wall's integrity and strength.

5. Plastering Stage

We carefully mix plaster with water until it reaches the right consistency. This crucial step requires our experienced plasterers' expertise to get it just right.

6. Application, Drying and Second Coat:

Using specific tools, we evenly spread the plaster over the wall to ensure a smooth, flawless finish. After allowing the first layer to dry, we apply a second coat of plaster. This step is where we focus on quality, ensuring our work lasts. Depending on the weather, the drying stage can take between 4 to 7 days. Once dry, the wall is ready for painting, marking the end of our plastering process.
